Mr. Bennett,
As discussed on the telephone earlier this afternoon, Nucor did not collect a sample during the
month of February 2015. While we are used to documenting 'No Flow' events, this was a
slightly different situation. During the month of February, there were several 'representative
events' which were associated with additional challenges such as delayed flows and safety
concerns, as a result of snow and ice. This being said, we would like to point out that we did
collect samples on January 26th and March 4th, so there were only 37 days between samples.
Nucor makes every effort possible to comply with our permits and we appreciate your
consideration of events during events like this.
