Johnson -Water treatment Plant Waste Stream Recycling with Annual Flushing City of Raleigh Wake County Dear Mr. Allen: in accordance with the email request of November 14, 2006 and letter from John Garland, Superintendent, City of Raleigh, E. M. Johnson WP, Public Water Supply (PWS) has no objection to Raleigh's request for clanging the quarterly requirement to an annual requirement as follows: • At least annually, Raleigh will discontinue recycling for period of -two weeks to allow complete flushing of the raw water resmoirs and treatment plant. • City of Raleigh will maintain their NPDES Permit and return to discharging if deemed necessary by PWS Please note that all other requirements of the January 21, 2005 letter remain in effect. If water quality parameters become adversely affected by this reduction, quarterly recycling 'nay be required or no recycling as determin ^ y PWS. Adjustments to sampling and monitoring will be made as deemed necessary by PWS.
