Hello Andrew,
Please see the attached photos for the Loflin Dairy MY4 project in Randolph county. The first photo shows some of the flagged stems that
were planted within the encroachment area. The second photo shows some of the additional boundary markers and PVC pole extenders that
were installed to help make the easement boundary more visible.

Please let me know if you need anything else. We will be sure to include photos of the replanted area in the MY5 report this year.
We look forward to receiving your approval of the MY4 report. Thank you.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your responses to the comments. Do you have photos of the newly planted stems and enhanced easement boundary? If you
could send them in response to this email that would be great. Once we receive those, this monitoring report will be considered approved
along with a 20% reduction in bond amount.
If you could also take photos of the replanted area at the time of MY5 monitoring data collection and include them in the MY5 report that
would be great.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,

Hello, Andrew,
Thank you for your feedback. Your comments are in bold, while Wildlands' responses are in italics:
1. Overall, the vegetation plots and site as a whole appear to be healthy and on a good track. DWR appreciates how detailed and well
organized this report was.
a. Thank you for your comment. The parcel appears to be on a good trajectory.
2. In terms of the two low stem density areas along Bob Branch, DWR is requesting a random transect be performed through at least
one of these areas and included in the MY5 report to be able to accurately determine their success.
a. Wildlands will add a random transect in one of the low stem density areas along Bob Branch. The data will be included in the
Vegetation Plot Success Summary table in the MY5 report.
3. Thank you for including photos and location of the easement encroachment. Were any planted stems impacted by this
encroachment, and is any planting planned for this area?
a. The area of encroachment was marked off with additional easement posts and signs. Wildlands spoke with the landowner and
discussed the encroachment issue and expectations for the upcoming year. Planted stems were impacted within this area. 20
container trees of river birch and swamp chestnut oak were planted in the impacted area on April 12, 2024.
Sincerely,
Jeff Turner, MS I Environmental Scientist

Subject: Monitoring Report MY4 Review - Loflin Dairy Phase II
Hi Jeffery,
DWR has completed the review of the Loflin Dairy Phase II MY4 report and have the following comments:
1. Overall, the vegetation plots and site as a whole appear to be healthy and on a good track. DWR appreciates how detailed and well
organized this report was.
2. In terms of the two low stem density areas along Bob Branch, DWR is requesting a random transect be performed through at least
one of these areas and included in the MY5 report to be able to accurately determine their success.
3. Thank you for including photos and location of the easement encroachment. Were any planted stems impacted by this encroachment,
and is any planting planned for this area?
Thank you for your attention to these comments. Please provide an adequate response to all items above along with supporting documents if
required.
Once DWR receives a response to the comments above, issuance of monitoring report approval and credit release can be determined. Let
me know if you have any further questions.
