Homewood, Sue From: Darling, Richard <RDarling@mbakerintl.com> Sent: Monday, December 21, 2015 4:37 PM To: Homewood, Sue Cc: Bailey, David E SAW; Alex Rosser; Lisa Elmore Subject: FW: PTIA NW Taxiway Connector Sue Please see Scott's responses below in red. We will get you the two revised sheets shortly. Thanks again for all your assistance. Richard From: Homewood, Sue[mailto:sue.homewood@ncdenr.gov] Sent: Monday, December 21, 2015 11:42 AM To: Darling, Richard Cc: Bailey, David E SAW Subject: RE: PTIA NW Taxiway Connector Richard, I reviewed the documents submitted and there's just a few little things that need to be clarified. The plans clearly show the temporary impacts for dewatering and your cover letter acknowledges them, but I don't see the length of temporary impacts specified on the front sheet impact table or on the plan of the pipe on PD -3. We have added the length of temporary impacts to the front sheet impact table. Sheet PD -3 indicates temporary buffer impacts below the culvert but none above the culvert. However the restoration plan shows restoration of the buffer areas to be above and below the culvert. Can you check this and if there are no proposed impacts above the pipe please specify how the temporary dewatering will be installed without disturbance to the buffer. Proposed temporary impacts to the stream and buffer areas have now been highlighted on sheet PD -3 with the values added to the impact table on the front sheet. The temporary dewatering would have a minor disturbance in the buffer and that is being accounted for. Thanks very much for the detailed attention to my comments and for the revised plan which further limits impacts to the buffers for S&EC measures and addresses my concern about hydrology to the "surviving" wetland. I want to wait and check with David to see if he received any comments during the public notice before I issue an approval, if he received significant comments then I may ask for your response to those before I issue an approval. I'll be on holiday leave starting 12/23 and back onl/4. Thanks, Sue Homewood Division of Water Resources, Winston Salem Regional Office Department of EnvironmentalQuality Homewood, Sue From: Darling, Richard <RDarling@mbakerintl.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 22, 2015 10:59 AM To: Homewood, Sue Cc: Bailey, David E SAW; Alex Rosser; Lisa Elmore; Brookhart, Scott; Torres, Darrell Subject: PTIA NW Taxiway Connector Sue Please see the link below for revised permit drawings per your request for clarification of 12/21/2015. Please let me know any issues with the link and any paper copies you may need. Thanks again for your attention to this important project. Richard 0 SHEET PD -3 1.
