Subject: Norfolk Southern Bridge EC-23.8 Requested Additional Information
Attachments: EC-23.8 15 Ol.pdf; PCN Form.pdf
Garcy,
Thanks for speaking with me earlier this week about our permit application for Bridge EC-23.8 in Kinston, NC. As per our
discussion, attached is the revised (pages 7&8) PCN form. I have also attached the plans for the culvert installation
showing that the new pipe will be installed below the streambed. The new culvert will be about 50 feet long so it will
extend slightly beyond the current bridge wingwalls. The extension area is within already cleared sections of the Norfolk
Southern right-of-way covered in rock and gravel. Tree clearing and/or extensive vegetation removal is not anticipated
for the project since it will occur within already disturbed areas within the Norfolk Southern right-of-way.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional information.
Thanks,
Jennifer
