Hey Rachel,
I hope you are having a good day.
I would like to reach out to see if you need any type of report due to the school not having flow to the plant.
When we began to locate the reason for no flow to the plant we located the reason way.
The reason was a blockage. Paper towels, tampons, mop strings, other items flushed in the toilets, and probably
sludge from not being actively used in two almost 3 years.
A and R septic attempted to un blockwithout success.
The sewer line was dug up, and replaced where the blockage occurred. While the crewwas digging we had them to
replace the old terra-cotta pipe with new 6 inch pvc pipe.
In conclusion we have very good water flow now to the plant. Josh Greene the local sewer plant who puts the
chlorine tablets in was called to inform him of flow.
He came this past Tuesday so you maybe able to confirm as well through him we have flow.
You can hear flow and see ripples in the first tank.
To answer the question where was everything going when the blockage was there, the answer is; all back up in the
sewer lines and was holding in the manholes.
The plant was not in operation until the starting of this school year, therefore thankfully it had not made its way into
the building. The building is only at 1/2 capacity as kids are still using other buildings that have a septic tank.
Last year the kids were occupying other buildings on campus while this building that uses the plant was
remodeled.
I appreciate you reaching out to me. Without your notification, it would not have been long before we had sewer
backing up into a remodeled building with a great mess.
Since we have flow now, do you need anything from us?
