NCG500000. We do not object to this request.
NPDES CoC NCG500214 is hereby rescinded, effective immediately. This message is to close the permit file for the
Division, and for your records.
If in the future you wish to discharge wastewater to the State's surface waters, you must first apply for and receive a
new NPDES permit.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, simply reply to this message.
PLEASE NOTE: as part of the Division's conversion to paperless communication, this email is the only notification you will
be sent regarding the CoC rescission. No hard copy will be mailed.

Mr. Weaver,
The Coats HP facility in McAdenville (Lowell) is no longer in operation effective as of Q4 2023. The site has a current
certificate of coverage (NCG500214) under the general wastewater permit NCG500000. All of the Coats owned
equipment and machinery has been removed from the facility and Coats has no plans to resume operations. The
property is leased and will be turned over to the property owner at the end of the lease agreement. Coats would like to
formally request to rescind the wastewater coverage under General Permit Number NCG500000 as there are no plans to
resume operations on site. The COC is attached for reference.

I just got off the phone with Todd to discuss the site conditions. He will send a follow-up email to indicate that all
equipment has been removed from the facility and there are no future plans to reactivate manufacturing at this
site. Once you receive the email from Todd, you can proceed with rescinding the permit.
