RE: Permit NCO065242
The Town of Grover is currently in a wastewater regionalization project with the City of Kings
Mountain. This project will include upgrades to the Towns current lift stations,
decommissioning our current WWTP, constructing a new lift station at the location of the current
WWTP and pumping the Town wastewater to the City of Kings Mountain. At this time, both of
the Towns current lift stations have been upgraded and are currently awaiting start up of the back
up pumps to complete close out of that portion of the project.
Construction of the new lift station at the site of the current WWTP is scheduled to begin in
March 2024 with an anticipated completion date of October 2024. A force -main connecting to
the City of Kings Mountains wastewater system will also be constructed during this phase of the
project. Once this phase of the project is complete, the decommissioning of the Grover WWTP
will begin and at that time the discharge permit NCO065242 will no longer be needed for
operation.
This project is being managed by Metcon, Inc. with Vaibhav Mulay serving as the project
manager.
Sincerely,
Tony Willis, Mayor
Town of Grover, NC.
