Elevated lead values have been detected in the collection system on one line that serves only domestic connections. The POTW plans to conduct additional collection system monitoring to attempt to locate this source, however, potential dumping of lead-containing waste by a non-SIU is suspected. In addition, with the loss of the City's one main industry, flow values are down significantly, and concentration values may be reflecting this volume loss. • The WWTP was non-compliant for fecal coliform for the last week of August 2023.This is not believed to be due to any pretreatment issue. The plant received approximately 5 inches of rain over an 8-day period during the fecal coliform non-compliance. • A review of LTMP data indicates that overall removal rates remain similar to the previous year. Please see the included LTMP data summary for 2023. General Program Information: • As discussed in the last Pretreatment Annual Report,on November 30th,2022,the only remaining IUP for the City of Randleman,Deep River Dyeing, Inc.,was terminated due to the industry closure. • The City has continued to maintain its Pretreatment Program and wishes to do so going forward. • The City submitted an Industrial Waste Survey which was received by DWR on 7/18/2023.Please note this correction on the Pretreatment Program Information Sheet, which can be found behind this Narrative in this report. • The City submitted an updated LTMP which was received by DWR on 9/1/2023.Please also note this correction on the Pretreatment Program Information Sheet. • The Pretreatment Program was inspected by the NCDEQ regional office on 9/7/2023.The Program was found to be in compliance. Please also note this correction on the Pretreatment Program Information Sheet. • Additional corrections were made to the Pretreatment Program Information Sheet: • The HWA was received by DWR on 6/6/2022. • The number of SIUs for the City is currently zero, not 1. • Tricia Lowery is no longer the regional contact for Randleman. SIU INFORMATION: • There are no SIUs in Randleman currently. • Please note that there is no applicable EL&MR for this report, and an IDSF is not included in this report due to no current SIUs.
