The violation(s) referenced was directly caused by significant wet -weather flows. In the comment section of the eDMR, the following comment was included: BOD noncompliant for weekly avg and monthly limit. TSS noncompliant far weekly avg, both due to heavy rain event of 3 inches of rain on 12126 and .35 inches on 1212712023, Effluent flow far 12126 was 13.63 MGD and Effluent flow for 1212712023 was 22.97. Talked to Roberto Scheller on 1212912023 at 11:35 AM. During this significant wet -weather event, the effluent filter bypass was opened approximately 25% to allow for increased flow to prevent a spill. Our new Equalization Basin #2, currently under construction, is expected to alleviate peak flows into our facility. We have recently secured contracted resources to assist with our inflow investigation efforts, to mitigate extreme peak flows during heavy rain events. We request a meeting to discuss technical assistance and overall compliance.
