Director Tula Causey 360 Earlie Everhart Road Thomasville, NC 27360 NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality February 27, 2024 SUBJECT: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Causey Single Family Residence Certificate of Coverage No. NCG550967 Davidson County Dear Ms. Causey: On February 26, 2024, Division of Water Resources staff Caitlin Caudle conducted a routine compliance inspection of the wastewater system serving 2370 Old NC Hwy 109. This inspection indicated that the previous Silver Vally Fire Department building was unoccupied and is currently being used for storage. Observations noted the chlorine contact chamber riser was intact. The discharge pipe could not be located in the State maintained ditch. As also mentioned in the 2010, 2014, and 2019 inspections, no evidence of a discharge was observed. If the system is returned to use, wastewater grade calcium hypochlorite tablets must be added to the chlorinator unit before the property becomes occupied.
