Plant for the year 2023.

General program information:
• The plant's permit, NCO03450 was issued on November 2023 and expires
January 2028.
• Our HWA was submitted on January 8, 2021 and it is waiting to be
reviewed.
• There are changes that need to be made to the Pretreatment Program Info
that was provided by the Municipal Unit. The changes are marked on the
sheet in red - the dates of the permit issuance and NOV history.
• Wallace Regional WWTP accepts flow from the satellite communities of
Burgaw, Greenevers, Teachey and Pender County. The Town of Burgaw has
their own separate pretreatment program and has submitted a separate
PAR. The other towns currently have no SIU's.
• We received 1 NOV dated May 22, 2023 due to not following our ERP
regarding Burgaw's failure to submit their SIU application by the due date.
Industrial Users
Darling Ingredients-IUP#-001
o Darling Ingredients was inspected once but not sampled by the
POTW because they have not sent any flow since receiving their
permit.
o Permit remains active per the industry's request and will expire April
18, 2026.
o This SIU performed all reporting as required, was compliant , and
received no violations for this reporting year.
o This is a pump and haul permit to cover flow they need to send to us
while they are constructing the sewer connection to the WWTP.
Town of Burgaw-IUP# -002
o Burgaw has 2 SIU's, American Skins and Cardinal Foods; and 1 CIU, LL
Building. Please refer to Burgaw's PAR for information on their users.

Burgaw was notified on October 11, 2022 that they would be
considered a SIU after causing an upset to our WWTP. Their deadline
to submit the permit application was extended twice from January 9,
2023 to April 1, 2023. The application was submitted late on May 2,

2023.
o Burgaw was permitted as a SIU on August 1, 2023. Permit expires
July 31,2028.
o They were inspected and sampled in December 2023.
o Since the issuance of their permit, all monitoring and reporting has
been received on time and with no violations.
