Ktuti1 VtL) ntQIDWR OCT 31 aoa? `AYrrrnn1 WQROS RFr;1f)NA1 OFFICE The University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) plans to renovate the existing baseball and softball facilities, add seating to the baseball and softball fields and convert the existing multi -use recreation field (Lumbee Field) from natural grass to artificial turf. UNCP also plans to construct indoor hitting facilities for both baseball and softball teams, construct a restroom, concessions, and storage building, replace the sports lighting at the baseball field and add sports lighting to the recreation field. The facility is located on UNCP owned land at the intersection of University Drive and Braves Drive in Pembroke, NC. This project will include a building containing restroom facilities that will be serviced by a proposed lift station and 2" HDPE, 500 LF force main sewer connection to the existing gravity sewer system in Braves Drive. Based on the design flow rates provided in the Title 15A NCAC 02T .0114 requirements, the site will generate and average daily flow (ADF) of approximately 3,645 GPD. The lift station will contain a duplex pump grinder system capable of delivering 55 GPM of flow at 63' TDH. The design will contain a connection to a portable power source with manual activation, quick connection. The applicant is requesting approval for this lift station and force main to be permitted via the NCDEQ Fast Track Sewer System Extension Application. This application has been compiled in conformance with the NCDEQ standards. The enclosed information was prepared by VHB Engineering NC, PC for UNC Pembroke as part of the required permit approvals for the proposed force main and lift station that is located on site. Enclosed in this package, the following documents have been prepared for your review: • One (1) copy of the cover letter; • One (1) copy of the application fee in the amount of $480.00 made payable to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ); • One (1) copy of the Fast Track Sewer System Extension Application Form (FTA 06-21); • One (1) copy of the Flow Tracking Acceptance Form (FTSE 04-16); • One (1) copy of the Site Maps; and • One (1) copy of the Power Reliability Plan. This renovation will include a new building containing restroom/concessions facilities that will be serviced by a proposed lift station and 2" HDPE, 500 LF force main sewer connection to the existing gravity sewer system in Braves Drive. The restroom/concessions primarily used for events. The facility will generally be locked and not used outside of events The design will contain a connection to a portable power source with manual activation, quick connection; as such, a power reliability plan is required by 15A NCAC 02T. 0305(h)(1). The design of this system calls for a duplex control panel to be mounted adjacent to the lift station where electrical conduits are to be provided on site for power distribution. Only one lift station will be provided on site and will be serviced by this design. As a result, in accordance with these requirements, the portable power generation unit or Dortable, or indeoendently Dowered Dumoina units, associated aoourtenances and personnel are available for distribution and operation of this pump station.
