Dear Pig Life, LLC:

The Division of Water Resources (Division) received your sludge survey information on January
2, 2024. With the survey results, on your behalf Jonathan Miller requested an extension of the
sludge survey requirement for the two lagoons at the Pig Life 4 facility. Due to the amount of
treatment volume available, and the rate of sludge accumulation, the Division feels that an
extension is not appropriate for lagoon #1 at this facility. For Lagoon #2, the Division agrees
that a sludge survey is not needed until December 31, 2028.

The next sludge survey for lagoon #1 at Pig Life 4 should be performed before December 31,
2024. For lagoon #2 sludge survey should be performed before December 31, 2028. Please retain
this letter and keep it with your farm records for reference.
