Good morning Dave,
I received this from Brian Hamby Friday afternoon. Will you take a look at it and see if you agree with what he
says. At least the first sentence.
Thank You
Stacey

Hackett Town
These steps MUST be taken for the integrity of this road BEFORE paving can proceed:
1. The tail ditch needs to be done, and done correctly.
2. The other ditches need to be corrected to drain properly.
3. Appropriate, sustainable hydroseeding should be implemented right away.
Mrs. Triplett,
1.Permit conditions from both the NC Division of Water Resources and NC Wildlife Resources division do not
allow us to tail ditch a pipe with a live stream unless the pipe is clogged. That is not the case in this situation. The
area at the outflow of the pipe is in similar if not improved condition than it was prior to construction. (See pic 1
and 2 attached)
2.The ditches have enough grade change to allow for drainage. Some low spots are going to be present due to
the amount of rock that was encountered. Over time these low spots will fill in with natural material and
vegetation. I will be glad to review these areas again in the spring and make any necessary repairs at that time.
3.We will reseed where needed sometime next week.
Thanks, Brian Hamby
