The KIWS facility was used for manufacturing of furniture hardware from the mid-1940s to the late 1980s, then
security products and lock components through 2018. Facility manufacturing processes were concluded during 2018,
c
and the facility has been decommissioned through removal of all former manufacturing equipment. Groundwater
COCs, including tetra chloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), 1,1-dichloroethene (1,1-DCE), have been delineated
00 on the KIWS property and off -site properties to the southwest. A groundwater extraction and treatment (GWE&T)
system has been in operation at the site since 2015, utilizing nine groundwater extraction (GWE) wells located
on -site and off -site. The goal of the GWE&T system is to hinder further downgradient migration of the groundwater
z COC distribution, decrease groundwater COC concentrations, and to mitigate potential structural vapor intrusion
I I concerns for surrounding properties. Treated effluent from the GWE&T is discharged to an unnamed tributary of
Peters Creek southwest of the site, via a storm sewer located adjacent to the site along Indiana Avenue.

ALL MAG FLOW METERS WILL HAVE APPROPRIATE PIPE LENGTHS BEFORE AND AFTER FOR ACCURATE READINGS
EACH MAG FLOW METER WILL HAVE A REMOTE READOUT FOR INSTANTANEOUS FLOW
CARBON VESSELS ARE INTERCONNECTED WITH HOSE FOR EASE OF REMOVAL
THE MAG METERS WILL BE TOTALIZED WITH A RELAY OUTPUT TO THE PLC. THE TRANSMITTER W ML SEND A 4-20
mA SIGNAL TO THE PLC ALSO FOR INSTANTANEOUS FLOW. THERE WILL BE A REMOTE DISPLAY FOR EACH MAG
