A renewal application was received by the Division on June 5, 2023. The subject WWTP is permitted as a 0.0500 MGD, Grade II, biological wastewater treatment facility. Review period, September 2022 througe August 2023, was reviewed for compliance with permit limits. A second letter was issued on July 6, 2023, for unpaid civil penalties LV-2022-0094 for $615.76. *Annual Reports have not been submitted to this Office as required by House Bill 1160 and the Clean Water Act. *In accordance with Part I, Section A.(3) of NPDES Permit NC0070289, the permittee shall perform an Engineering Assessment on the structural intergrity of the wastewater treatment plant no later than October 31, 2020. As of the date of this inspection no report has been submitted to the Mooresville Regional Office. * Two large trees have been girdled (debarked) and are standing dead creating a hazard to operations of the WWTP. Trees should be removed. Due to the above noted violations (*) this inspection is being issued as a Notice of Violation of permit conditions. At the time of inspection WWTP appeared to be well operated, records well kept, up to date, and readily available for review. Effluent was clear with few visible suspended solids.
