The North Carolina Department of Transportation is s�heduled to replac� �ridg� #6l ir�
Alleghany County with a new aluminum box �ulvert at the same lc��atio�. �he �xis�i�g
structure �s a 30.5' long Cplus wing walls) x 25' wide single span br�dge �vi�h �te�l I-
beams on a 9Q degree skew. A11 of the remai�ing compo�.ents are timb�r. �Th� proposed
aluminum box culvert is 25' wide x�' high x 3�' l�ng ��th headwalls. �;ulv�rt slc�p� v�ill
O.C%. Three Baffles will be inserted into th� cu�vert to maintain char��e1 ��dt1� (i�l��,
outlet and one interior) . Mitigation will be provided through EEl' (3 6' � o �n ��`f sit�
detour is proposed. Stream impacts are tabulat�d bel��v.
