Snider Water Quality Regional Operations Supervisor Winston-Salem Regional Office 450 West Hanes Mill Rd., Suite 300 Winston-Salem, NC 27105 Nucor Steel Lexington Pump and Haul Application Mr. Snider, Attached is the pump and haul application for Nucor Steel Lexington. The facility is currently working on building a new micro rebar mill in Lexington. This pump and haul request is being submitted due to the facility working on connecting to the city sewer and receiving the necessary permits for this connection. The city of Thomasville WWTP also has some updates to make to their system before they are able to receive wastewater from the facility. Until the site is tied into the city sewer and the WWTP is able to receive the wastewater, the facility will need pump and haul the domestic wastewater from the Administration Building. The City of Thomasville is estimating the facility will be able to discharge to the city sewer by July of 2024. The facility is hoping to begin use of the Administration Building by the end of this year. I certify that the information in this report is true, complete, and accurate based upon reasonable inquiry. If you have any questions, please feel free to call myself or Matt Way, our Environmental Manager, at (903)241-6116. Sincerely, 1 Mike Hess Vice President & General Manager 10/13/2023 Dear Valued customer, This letter is approval for 24/7 hauling of all wastewater needs for Nucor of Lexington, to the Davidson County treatment facility.
