Dear Mr. Shaw:

On August 31, 2023, Dorothy M Robson of the Raleigh Regional Office reviewed the 2022 Annual Land
Application Report for permit WQ0028653. The report was received February 15, 2023. The report was
prepared by Branch Residuals & Soils LLC.

According to the 2022 Land Application report Annual report, a total of 1,107,800-gallons (53.12 dry tons)
of biosolids in 2022 was land applied to three fields, owned by Pilgram’s Pride, totaling 23.89 acres. The
residual biosolids meet the requirements for class A residuals. The facility also analyzed the residuals for
non-hazardous constituents, metals, nutrients, pathogen and vector attraction reductions once a year, as
stipulated in the February 25, 2019 permit. The facility conducted monitoring annually, as stipulated in
the permit.

There were no significant issues or findings noted in the report review and therefore, a response to this
