Dear Neil A. Strother:

Reference is made to your request to rescind your permit along with a completed Animal
Waste Storage Pond and Lagoon Closure Report Form. Staff from our Regional Office has
confirmed that this Coverage is no longer required. Therefore, in accordance with your
request, Permit No. AWI980023 is rescinded, effective immediately.

NOTE: Ground water monitoring wells (MW1-3) on-site will need to be abandoned per
15A NCAC 02C .0113 and Well Abandonment Record (GW-30) shall be submitted within
30 days of completion to the Division of Water Resources, Information Processing Unit,
1617 Mail Service Center, Raleigh NC 27699-1617.

If, in the future, you wish again to operate an animal waste management system, you must
first apply for and receive a new animal waste permit Certificate of Coverage. Operating
an animal waste management system without a valid animal waste permit or Certificate of
Coverage will subject the responsible party to a civil penalty of up to $25,000 per day.
