We would like to update the Division on the following changes:
• Conversion of the wastewater treatment disinfection system from chlorine gas and sulfur
dioxide gas to liquid bleach (i.e.. sodium hypochlorite) and liquid sodium bisulfate due to
safety concerns.
The system is expected to be operational the week of October 2, 2023. This modification does not
impact the permit limits or monitoring requirements and, therefore, does not require a permit
modification per Julia Byrd's email on May 1.3, 2021. If you have any questions, please contact
