DENR - WATER PTSOURCES 401 & BUFFER PERMITTING This submittal is a Pre - Construction Notification (PCN) for street rehabilitation and drainage improvements for an existing storm drainage system in portions of the Pine Valley Subdivision in Wilmington, NC. All construction associated with the project will be contained within the right -of- way and/or within designated easements. Please find enclosed the following information and data for this project: 1. PCN Application Form 2. Figure 1 — River Basins 3. .Figure 2 — New Hanover County Soils Map 4. Check for $240 review fee to NC Division of Water Resources (no fee to USACE) The Pine Valley Street Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvements Project will address stormwater concerns in portions of the Pine Valley subdivision. Currently, stormwater drains to a series of open ditches that run through private property then eventually flows into the existing stormwater drainage system maintained by the City of Wilmington. There are no easements for many of the open channel ditches and private owner maintenance is spotty. Additionally, the roadways have areas of ponding water after a rain event and have deteriorated. The Pine Valley Street Rehabilitation and Drainage Improvements Project will provide a new stormwater drainage system as well as reconstruct roadways for portions of Semmes Drive, Honneycutt Drive, and Donald E. Gore Drive in the Pine Valley Subdivision. The total area of land disturbed for this project is 9.6 acres, including 4.18 acres of paved area, 4.56 acres of front yard right -of -way adjacent to the paved area, and 0.86 acres of outfall. This portion of the Pine Valley Subdivision drains into a tributary of Hewletts Creek in the White Oak River Basin as Post Office Box 2294, Kernersville, NC 27285 -2294 ■ 311 South Main Street, Suite A, Kernersville, NC 27284 (336) 996 -9974 ■ Fax(336)996-9976 ■ www.jewellengr.com I oa47 O0F WA TF9OG 2 0 5 Office Use Only: y Corps action ID no. o < DWQ project no.
