This area is now served by the Town of Mooresville's potable water system. The Division had received Carolina Water Service, Inc. of NC's permit recission request on 8/24/2023. This Office recommends the permit be rescinded. The last compliance evaluation inspection at this facility was performed by DWR staff on 8/11/2020. M ❑ ❑ ❑ Does the facility analyze process control parameters, for ex: MLSS, MCRT, Settleable ❑ ❑ 0 ❑ Solids, pH, DO, Sludge Judge, and other that are applicable? Comment: The well system has been shut down since the end of November 2022. The pipin system that conveyed the wastewater to the settling tanks was disconnected and capped off in August 2023. In addition, Liquid Waste, Inc. was contracted to pump out the settling tanks in August 2023. The settling tanks will either be physically removed or filled in with sand or gravel to prevent any potential safety hazards by February 2024. All equipment, tanks, etc. will be removed and any chemicals, etc. will be properly disposed. Page# 3
