Inspection Summary:
On August 31, 2023, Division of Water Resources staff Kristen Potwora completed a review of the 2022 Annual Report for
W00000520. This review reflects compliance with the subject permit. The following observations were noted:
•A new permit was issued this calendar year and all forms reflect the most recent Attachment B.
•The Alamance County Soil Survey(ACSS)was updated several years ago, resulting in many of the soil map units in the
Attachment B being removed or renamed in the NC State Realistic Yield Expectations(RYE)database. On August 16,
2022, DWR Staff Caitlin Caudle sent the facility an updated ACSS to be used moving forward. No concern for over
application at this time.
• Fields NC-AM-2-4: pH 5.8, NC-AM-14-3: pH 5.6, NC-AM-19-413: pH 5.9, NC-AM-116-3: pH 5.3 soil analysis reported a soil
pH < 6.0 and a lime recommendation. No lime application was reported on the Annual Land Application Field Summary
Form, but lime stabilization is used for the Pathogen and Vector Reduction. The pH value should continue to be monitored
as low pH values can negatively impact crop health.
