WWTP.The North Carolina Environmental Management Commission proposes to

comments regarding the proposed permit will be accepted until 30 days after the
publish date of this notice.The Director of the NC Division of Water Resources

Lumberton,NC 28359]has requested renewal of NPDES permit NC0024571 for its
June 17, 2023 Lumberton Wastewater Treatment Plant,located in Robeson County.This permitted
facility discharges treated municipal and industrial wastewater to the Lumber River,
a class C;Sw water in the Lumber River Basin.Currently BOD,ammonia,fecal
coliform,DO,pH,total residual chlorine,total copper and chromium VI are water
quality limited.This discharge may affect future allocations in this segment of the
Lumber River.
