Inspection Summary:
Inspection was in response to a Notice of Intent application.
The site functions as a concrete batch plant. Site contacts wanted to discuss whether or not contact wastewater would
discharge from the outfall listed in the application at the adjacent pond and whether or not a flow meeter would be required to
be installed per the conditions of the updated permit. Following the site visit, it is extremely unlikely that any contact
wastewater would make it to the listed outfall. The outfall is located atleast a quarter mile from the concrete plant and the
site actually slopes inwards. There is a significant increase in elevation near where the aggregate and sand stocpiles are
located. The land between the batch plant and the listed outfall is also pervious.A possible outfall was observed behind a
storage area at the eastern side of the site, however, there is a large asphalt birm associated with the adjacent Sunrock site
that directs water back towards the concrete plant. Stormwter also appears to flow towards the property located to the west
of the concrete plant. Concrete crushing appears to be conducted onsite. The land is also pervious. The northern area of the
site where the map shows the outfall is located is actually an adjacent property owned by 1427 Camden Ave LLC. The site
the concrete batch plant is located on is owned by SBM Properties LLC.
Coverage is recomended, however, the outfall will need to be updated. Contact wastewater is not expected to make it to the
listed outfall included in the application.
