On October 29, 2013, the Wilmington Regional Office received a plan revision for
Stormwater Management Permit Number SW8 961204. The revisions include the
construction of a concrete slab 52,000 square feet in area over an existing gravel
parking area which is already counted as impervious surface. Therefore, no net
increase or decrease in impervious surface is realized for this plan revision. It has been
determined that a formal permit modification is not required for the proposed changes.
We are forwarding you an approved copy of the revised plans for your files. Please add
the attached plans to the previously approved plan sheet.
Please be aware that all terms and conditions of the permit issued on July 19, 2012,
remain in full force and effect. Please also understand that the approval of this
revision to the approved plans for the subject State Stormwater Permit is done on a
case -by -case basis. Any other changes to this project must be submitted to and
approved through the Division of Energy, Mineral and Land Resources prior to
construction. The issuance of this plan revision does not preclude the permittee from
complying with all other applicable statutes, rules, regulations or ordinances which
may have jurisdiction over the proposed activity, and obtaining a permit or approval
prior to construction.

Plan Revision to SW8 961204
Construct DRMO Storage Lot Near Bldg. 916
MCB Camp Lejeune, NC
This project proposes to construct a concrete slab to be used for material storage on an
already graveled surface at the existing DRMO storage lot. The 52,000 SF concrete slab
will go entirely on top of the existing gravel which is already counted as impervious
surface at the site in the original pond design. The existing Lot 201 site is high density
with an existing stormwater pond. Since this project proposes to exchange one type of
impervious surface for another, then the existing permitted pond as designed remains
adequate. The new work is entirely within the existing Lot 201 drainage boundary and
entirely over existing gravel surface.
The existing drainage boundary established for this project is 486,600 SF in size. The
project has a permitted built -upon area of 366,800 SF which will remain the same after
this plan revision. The project built -upon area percentage will remain at 75.39%.
The runoff from the concrete pad will Flow through a gravity oil/water separator to guard
against any potential spills prior to entering the stormwater collection system.
The work area does not impact any wetlands. The area has sandy soils and is located on
one of the higher areas on the base.
The site drains to Bearhead Creek which is classified as SB NSW (Index #19-20-1). All
work is located greater than fifty feet from surface waters.
Less than one acre will be disturbed in order to construct the concrete slab.
The soils on the site are classified as Baymeade by the Onslow County Soil Survey.
Baymeade is described as a loamy sand at the depths to be disturbed by this project.
The property is owned by the Federal Government. There are not any known historic
sites on the property.
