Hello All,
I am reaching out about the Forbes Road Extension project in Gaston County. In our permit submission, the design was
to have a 60" culvert with baffles inside to accommodate for the variability in stream width here (I have attached the
detail for reference). We have already received the 401 and are awaiting the 404, but our client has reached out to us
and has said that The City of Gastonia is now wanting to remove the baffles, citing maintenance issues. They wanted me
to see if it would be satisfactory to remove the baffles throughout the culvert and just have a sill at the inlet and outlet.
Please let me know your thoughts.
