Replace bridge no. 14 over Bear Creek on SR 1714 (Parkstown Rd.). Use 1 @70 24" Cored Slab Bridge. Two TB 2GI will outlet outside the buffer zone with 15" CSP with
General Project Narrative:
Class B rip rap is used to stabilize the outlet. The proposed grassed swale special lateral 'V' ditch begins at Sta -L-11+50 (RT) to Sta -L- 13+00 (RT) and from Sta -L-13+50
(LT) to Sta -L- 14+25 (LT). The proposed grassed swale special lateral 'Base' ditch begins at Sta -L-11+50 (LT) to Sta -L- 13+00 (LT) and from Sta -L-13+50 (RT) to Sta -L-
14+00 (RT). The proposed grassed swale tie into the existing ditches at Sta -L-11+50 (LT,RT) and Sta -L-14+50 (LT,RT). Rip rap at embankment will be used at the outlet of
all the ditches at Sta -L-13+00 (LT,RT) to Sta -L- 13+20 (LT,RT) and at Sta -L-13+30 (LT,RT) to Sta -L- 13+50 (LT,RT) . All proposed grassed swales meet the design criteria
for a grassed swale. No deck drains required.

Have minimum design criteria, as presented in the NCDOT Best Management Practices Toolbox, Version 1 (March 2008), been met and verified? If No,
YESNO
provide further explanantion of why design criteria was not met.
Additional Comments
* Per Chad Coggins, swale recommended treatment length is based on the increase in impervious area in the vicinity of the project. Hence, the swale length of 150' and 100' satisfies
design criteria for
a grassed swale.
