Mr. Brent Collins, EMA Resources, was present during the entire inspection. A review of records, storage structures, application equipment, and application fields was completed. This review reflected compliance with the subject permit. The facility has a 500,000 gallon concrete digestor with aeration to store biosolids. Land application events occur approximately every 3-4 months. Tanker trucks are top loaded from the digestor. The truck drivers have a load log to record each trip. A tractor with a spreader is used to land apply. The tractor driver also has a log to record each load applied. The project manager will inspect each application field to confirm buffers before field application. After land application is completed, the landowner is provided a summary of biosolids applied, including the volume applied and total nutrient content applied. Other Observations: • Metals and nutrients analysis was completed on 4/5/2023 for the second quarter. TCLP was completed on 1/5/2023. • Land application occurs mostly on fields in W00002376 Reidsville RLAP which have landowner agreements allowing for biosolids application. If the landowner is not in another land application permit, a Utilization Agreement will be completed. • Mr. Collins will make maps for Class A land application fields with applicable buffers. All non -permitted fields are labeled with an X at the end of the field name. • Mr. Collins stated he uses a sludge judge to collect a composite sample. • The nutrient content was 11.77lbs/tanker and application rates were 3 tankers/ac.
