Mr. Ron Boone of the Winston-Salem Regional Office of the NC Division of Water
Quality (DWQ or the Division) conducted a compliance evaluation inspection (CEI) of the
Conrad Farm Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) on April 29, 2015.
This inspection consists of only a file review because neither the plant nor the homes
that will be tributary to it are yet built. A follow up phone call to you also verified these facts.
Please be aware that if any contact information for this permit or plant changes, you
should contact the Division as soon as possible. It is critical that we keep our records regarding
this future plant and permit up to date.
You are also reminded that you must designate an Operator in Responsible Charge
(ORC) and backup ORC for this plant before any waste can be introduced into it. You must
also notify this office at least 72 hours in advance of the plant discharging to surface waters of
the State.
Please also bear in mind that in accordance with NC General Statute 143-215.6A, the
Director of the Division of Water Quality may assess civil penalties not to exceed $25,000 per
day, per violation, for violations of the NC0088242 NPDES permit.
