Eric,
The purpose for the crossing is both for access and sediment control. The only way to access the pier location at Permit
Site 6 would either be down a very steep embankment that is on two sides of the existing stream. To access the pier
without the temporary pipe, it would require substantial grading to create an access road which would place more
steep, disturbed ground directly adjacent to the stream.
Let me know if we still need to revise, or if this explanation supports the description for Site 6 in the cover letter.
Thanks,

Matt: Thank you for working on this. It appears that the proposed temporary pipe crossing at Site 6 still doesn't match
the description of the purpose in the cover letter. Can you revise that or explain it if the purpose still fits (i.e., is the
purpose only for access?)?
Thank you.

Good morning Eric,
I spoke with the construction office yesterday to get some clarification on Permit Site 6. Based on their discussions with
the contractor on their operations and intent of the impacts, we offer the revised permit package. The only revision
occurs on page 33 of 34 in the pdf, this is Sheet 5 of the permit drawings. The revision shifts the location of the
proposed temporary pipe to reflect the location that the contractor proposed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt: I understand Amy may be out. I am helping Steve Brumagin with this mod and I have a question. If you are the
one I should be asking, please give me a call at 919.817.1570. If you aren't the right one, would you please pass on my
request?
Thank you.

Dave and Steve,
Please find the attached permit medication submittal for U-2579AA. I have also linked it here on the project connect
site. This is submittal results in an increase in temporary impacts. Please let me know if you have any questions.
