This letter is in response to the Notice of Violation, Case No. W-2021-DV-0040 concerning the spill that
occurred on October 711, 2020 at 7530 Sunnyvale Road Guilford County, High Point, North Carolina.
This spill was caused by faulty air release. The new air release was installed approximately six months
prior to the overflow. Photos were taken of the air release and sent to the manufacturer along with a
request for replacement parts. The manufacturer determined that the air release may have been
defective. The air release was replaced with another air release to keep the system in operation without
disruption. We do believe this was an isolated incident due to the air release. Since the replacement of
the air release there hasn't been an issue in this area.
