HiStacy, Thanks for th updat. My concrn with th springs rlats to th nw sourc of ovrland flow that could transport sdimnt to surfac watrs. With all th sdimnt and rosion control currntly installd at th projct sit, this would b doubtful; hovvvr vv vvill kp an y on it. W ncountr salamandrs in vvt aras frquntly. Thy hav th ability to adapt to nvv nvironmnts or sk out nvv suitabl habitats bcaus thy can mov around radily. It vvould b ok to catch and rlas this on in a mor protctd ara away from construction activity. I would war latx/nitril glovs and thn mov it to an ara nar th stram bank. You may could idntify th spcis using th vvbsit blow. Th black soil is likly rlatd to dcaying organic mattr. Good morning Dave, hope you had a good weekend.l just wanted to know what they are supposed to do when they hit natural springs. I counted what appears to be four in one area. Salamanders have already moved in. Also in this area the soil is almost black in color. There is one in there ditch line as well. We haven't had any rain here since last week and the ditch is standing full. See pics. Thank You Hope you have a good day... Stacey Triplett
