Re: Beard's Creek Bridge Replacernent
Dear Mr. Aman:
I am writing to you regarding the old swing bridge at Beard's Creek which is slated to be
replaced soon. Our association was approached about our interest in keeping the swing
apparatus or a part thereof. We quickly determined that because of its size it would be
impossible to do it justice. After hearing of Mrs. Ann Bachelor's request that the mechanism be
left in place and the new bridge be constructed over it and a historical marker placed nearby, our
association supports that idea. We would be happy to assist in the placement of a historical
marker there.
