Dear Mr. King:
The Division of Water Quality has reviewed.your submittal for a§401 Water Quality Certiiication far the
aforementioned project. Review of your application revealed it lacking necessary information required
for making an informed permit decision. The perinit application was deficient in the following area:
Pages 7 and 8 of the PCN form are missing; these are the pages that list the impacts. DWQ requires 7
copies of the missing pages.
Hasketts Creek, the impacted resource, is on the §303(d) list of impaired waters. While a storm water
management plan is not required for this project, DWQ would like more specific information on how
the applicant will treat storm water or prevent the storm water from entering this resource on the
project than the narrative provide on Item XI. Stormwater on the PCN application.
The vicinity map is inadequate for locating the project; please label the main roads.
Therefore, pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H .0507(a)(3), the permit application is placed on hold until we are
supplied the necessary information. Furthermore, until the information is received by the NC Division of
Water Quality, we request (by copy of this letter) that the US Army Corps of Engineers continue to place
the permit application on hold.
We look forward to working with you to expedite the processing of your permit application. If you have
any questions or require additional iriformation, please contact Cynthia F. Van Der Wiele at
919.733.5715.
Sincerely,
John R. Dorney
