Hey- I know I'm late to the party here. Our 45 days was up on January 14th. I plan to issue the tear
sheet for the purpose of the MTF. For what it's worth I believe the driveway turnaround on the side
of the house can be moved to the area beside the garage and septic repair area and the house be
moved further out of wetlands but I'll plan to put the impacts she proposes below on our paperwork
since technically we defaulted.
Thanks,
Katharine Elks

Hello, Holley.
Attached please find the revised site plan. As you will see, we were unable to shift the
house east, as there is a 20' drainage easement on that side of the lot (10' on 697 and 10'
on lot 1), where no grading work can take place. However, we were able to shift the house
south approximately 14.5', thereby reducing the impact by 865 SF. The new permanent
impact area is 2205 SF / 0.05-acre.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Subject: 697 White Oak Crossing Road DWR Project#20221684
Good afternoon All,
The DWR has reviewed the application materials for this project and is requesting additional
information from the applicant to clarify and quantify the impacts associated with the
development. The DWR received the application fee as required by 15A NCAC 02H .0502 (State
application completeness requirements) on 12/9/2022 which started the 60-day State review clock,
ending on 2/7/2023. The ePCN was received on 11/28/22 and satisfied the USACE completeness
requirements, the 120-day Federal reasonable period of time clock began, and will end on 3/28/23.
Therefore, the project remains under review by the DWR and has not been waived as neither the
State 60-day nor the Federal 120-day reasonable period of time clock has been exceeded.
The DWR is placing your application on hold until such time as the following requested additional
information has been provided to complete the review:
1. Avoidance and minimization; the impacts to the jurisdictional wetland can be further avoided
and minimized by relocating the parking area on the east side of the house and shifting the
house to the setback line nearest the eastern property boundary. The proposed retaining wall
can also be re -aligned to further reduce the impacts to the wetlands.
I hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Holley Snider -
