THIS DEED, Dade this day of September,1924, by
and between R. D. Hall, Commissioner, under a Judgment of the Su-
perior Court of said County of Gaston, approved by the Judge hold-
ing the Courts of the Fifteenth Judicial District in the Special
Proceedings entitled; "Annie E. Hall, J. B. Hall and others, Ex
Parts"; as the same appears upon the special proceedings docket
in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Gaston County,
party of the first part, and Vateree Power Company, a corporation
organiz6d under the laws of the State of South Carolina, party of
the second part, WITNESSETH;
THAT VMEREAS, the said R. D. Hall, Commissioner, being
thereto licensed by a Judgment of the Superior Court, made in said
proceeding to sell and convey unto said Hateree Poorer Company the
lands desoribed in the petition in said cause, and hereinafter
described at private sale for the price of Nine Thousand (," 000.00)
Dollars cash, said Judgment having been duly confirmed by the Judge
holding the Courts of the Fifteenth Judicial District; and whereas
the saip sum of money has been paid in full;
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and in
further consideration of the sum of Nine Thousand (99,000.00) Dol-
lars to the said R. D. Hall, Commissioner in hand paid by said
Wateree Power Company, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,
the said R. D. Hall, Commissioner, as aforesaid,does hereby bargain
sell and convey unto the said Vateree Power Company and its success
ors and assigns, that certain tract or parcel of land situate in
South Point Township, Gaston County, North Carolina, and more par-
tioularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake on the river, Andrew Neegle's
corner, and runs with five of his lines S 86 [7 90 poles

and wife, E. P. Hall to U. N. Hall by deed dated August 13,
1883, and recorded in the Register of Deeds Office for
Garton County, in Boob 08, Page 280.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD said lands and the appurtances there -
unto belonging to it, said Vateree Power Company, its successors and
assigns forever, in as full an ample manner as said R. D. Hall, Com-
missioner is authorized and empowered to convey the same.
