Dear Mr. Snider:
In response to your Notice of Deficiency letter concerning the referenced project, dated
January 18, 2023, the following comments are being submitted for the record:
Limit Exceedance Deficiency(s):
1. As noted in your letter, the flows did exceed the monthly allowable average of 14, 000
GPD. However, Dale Holman, BRMC ORC noticed the higher flows the week of
September 12th. Dale and I began a visual inspection of the pump stations to determine
where the higher flows were coming from. Over the next 2 weeks we were finally able to
determine that the commercial dishwasher in the restaurant kitchen was continuously
running. The dishwasher was repaired the same day by a local appliance repair company
on September 271h. We estimated the flow to be approximately 5 GPM.
2. The attached September DMR supports the discovery of the malfunctioning dishwasher.
The kitchen is only open Wednesday through Sunday, and the high flows were recorded
on September 6, 12, 13, and 19th. The remaining flows for the month and the month of
October were at normal levels.
