Dear Mr. Watts:
In accordance with a letter dated August 15, 1985, we are amending the
Authorization to Construct to increase the wastewater treatment facilities
capacity from 0.05 MGD to 0.10 MGD. Final plans and specifications for the
subject project have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization
is hereby granted for the construction of a 0.10 MGD wastewater treatment
facility consisting of three (3) aeration tanks with a combined capacity of
100,000 gallons, a 7,630 gallon capacity sludge holding tank, a 17,870
gallon capacity tlarifier, dual blowers capable of delivering 340 CFM each,
a 2,275 gallon capacity chlorine contact tank with tablet chlorinators and
all associated valves, piping and appurtenances to serve the Abingdon Sub-
division located in Forsyth County.
This permit amendment does not alter any conditions or limitations
specified in the original Authorization to Construct. If you have any questions

Dear Mr. Watts:
A letter of request for Authorization to Construct was received April 11,
1985, by the Division and final plans and specifications for the subject project
have been reviewed and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted
for the construction of a 0.05 MGD wastewater treatment facility consisting of
a bar screen, a comminutor, a 50,347 gallon aeration tank, an 8,396 gallon clarifier,
a sludge holding tank, a chlorination system, associated piping and appurtenances
to serve the Abingdon Subdivision in Forsyth County.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III para-
graph C of NPDES Permit No. NC0060461 issued December 6, 1984, and shall be subject
to revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accord-
ance -with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0060461.
The Permittee must employ a certified wastewater operator in accordance
with Part III paragraph D of the referenced permit.
The sludge generated from these treatment facilities must be disposed of
in accordance with General Statute 143-215.1 and in a manner approvable by the
North Carlina Division of Environmental Management.
In event the facilities fail to perform satisfactorily in meeting its NPDES
permit effluent limits, Kerner Development Corporation shall take such immediate
corrective action as may be required by this Division, including the construction
of additional wastewater treatment and disposal facilities.
