Wheat is processed into flour at the plant. The plant consists of grain elevators and a flour mill. ADM Trucking also operates a truck maintenance shop on the property. File Review/History: The facility was inspected by CMSWS on 04/09/08, 05/10/2013, and 01/26/18. A Notice of Violation was issued by NCDENR on 05/12/08 for deficiencies in the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, Qualitative Monitoring, Analytical Monitoring, and Permit and Outfalls sections of NPDES Stormwater Permit NCG060000. Inspection Summary: At the time of inspection, ADM Milling Company was observed to be in compliance with the City of Charlotte Storm Water Pollution Control Ordinance. Please refer to the report for comments and recommendations. Site Inspection Deficiency Comments Stormwater system (catch basins, No Stormwater runoff drains by sheet flow into a series of catch inlets, outfalls, etc.) basins that discharge from the property via two outfalls. There were filter pads observed for the catch basin inlets and outfalls on the property. The filter pads should be routinely inspected and replaced as needed. Waste storage/disposal area(s) - Recommendation There are two municipal waste dumpsters, one paper open tops, waste containers, scrap recycling dumpster, and one cardboard recycling dumpster metal bins, etc. located on the property. A lid was missing on the cardboard recycling dumpster.
