Per your voice message for Mike Mickey on October 14, 2015, it is our office's
understanding that the wastewater discharges from the ITG Brands facility (non -contact cooling
water, cooling tower blowdown and condensate) are still being routed to sanitary sewer. The above
NPDES General Wastewater Permit covers these wastewaters if they are discharged to surface
waters.
If discharging occurs to surface waters in the future, then monitoring of the wastewater
should be conducted as outlined in Part I (A)(1) of the permit. Currently, there are no standardized
monitoring forms that need to be submitted. Any monitoring records would need to be maintained
at the facility for a period of three years.
The permit expired on July 31, 2015 and is in the process of being renewed by the Division.
A new Certificate of Coverage should be mailed to you in the near future.
