Dear Mr. Williams:
I have considered the information submitted in support of your requests for remission in
accordance with G.S. 143-215.6A(f) and have decided to modify the initial civil penalty
assessments of$741.40 and$1,141.40 to the respective amounts of$641.40 and$941.40.
Having received your total payment of$1,582.80 that accompanied your remission request, the
modified penalties have been fully satisfied and the two subject cases have been closed. Please
be advised that payment of these penalties does not preclude the Division from taking future
enforcement action should additional violations of the NPDES permit occur.
