Please provide a description of existing or substantially constructed wastewater treatment facilities: Existing facility consists of an ash settling basin with overflow structure and discharge (001) to the French Broad River. Normal discharges to 001 include ash transport water, coal pile runnoff, stormwater runnoff, and low volume wastewater sources inherent to the power making process (boiler blowdown et al) . The oil & water separator discussed above will discharge to the ash basin when in use as will discharge 004 which provides for internal chemical metal cleaning. Discharge 002 is non contact cooling water basin which discharges to Lake Julian. f. Please provide a description of proposed wastewater treatment facilities: N/A -2- F g. Following review of this program and the draft permit prepared for this facility, it is recommended that this permit go to public notice and baring any substantive comment, be reissued as proposed.
