Project Description
–
NCDOT proposes to replace Bridge #81, which is currently a (2) span 36’ x 25’ bridge, with a 60’ x 30’ (1)
span bridge over Millstone Creek in Wilson County. Bridge deck stormwater will be directed to a
dissipater pad outside of Buffer Zone 2 in the southwest and to a dissipater pad and grass swale in the
southeast quadrant. Offsite drainage will need to be piped through the buffer in northwest quadrant in
order to not additionally encroach on a concerned landowners yard. There are 3205 square feet of
perpendicular impacts to Buffer Zone 1, and 1577 square feet of impacts in Zone 2 that will be associated
with this project.
