Enclosed you will find our two week notification letter for a Tier II Zinc benchmark exceedance at ISWO04 (ROS). The
original letter for this benchmark exceedance is being sent to you directly via USPS certified mail.
The benchmark for Zinc is 126 ug/L and the analytical result was 165 ug/L. This Zinc concentration is down from the Tier
I Zinc exceedance of 205 ug/L discussed below. There was no Copper benchmark exceedance for this monitoring period.
Samples were collected December 14, 2022 and results were received December 29, 2022.
We will document these exceedances and our response/actions within our SWPPP per Part D, Condition D-6. We will
also document within our SWPPP the other obligations addressed in Table 3. Monitoring frequency is also being
increased from quarterly to monthly.

Please accept this email as the two week notification as required by Part D, Condition D-5, Table 2(ii) regarding the
industrial stormwater system serving the McGuire Nuclear Station.
On September 30, 2022, quarterly stormwater samples were collected and analyzed in accordance with
NCS000020. Analytical results for ISWO04 (ROS) were received by Duke Energy on October 12, 2022. Upon review of the
results, it was observed that benchmarks for Copper & Zinc were exceeded. The benchmark for Copper is 10 ug/L and
the analytical result was 11ug/L. The benchmark for Zinc is 126 ug/L and the analytical result was 205 ug/L. We will
document these exceedances and our response/actions within our SWPPP per Part D, Condition D-5. We will also
document within our SWPPP the other obligations addressed in Table 2.
