Hi Brandee and Joey-

I have reviewed the information sent to me about the North Bend PF project, which
proposes to permanently impact 64 ft of the Catawba River and temporarily impact 89 ft of
an unnamed tributary to the Catawba River in Burke County.

The project should not impact wild trout and a trout moratorium is not needed for this
project. I have worked with the designer (Jeff Ferguson) and the US Fish and Wildlife
Service to minimize impacts to habitats on site, as well as develop a good planting list. I
have no concerns about the project. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to review
this project.
