GENERAL APPROVED NOTES:
1. IF MORE THAN 12,ODU SOFT. IS DISTURBED A LAND -DISTURBING PERMIT WILL BE REQUIRED PRIOR TO THE
COMMENCEMENT OF ANY LAND -DISTURBING ACTNTTIES.
2. IF MORE THAN 20,ODO SOFT. IS DISTURBED, A SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL PLAN MUST BE
SUBMITTED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A LAND -DISTURBANCE PERMIT.
3. TREE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED BY THE CITY/COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT, TREE PROTECTION CERTIFICATION
MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE DURHAM COUNTY EROSION CONTROL DIVISION, AND TREE PROTECTION INSPECTION
COMPLETED PRIOR TO LAND -DISTURBANCE PERMIT ISSUANCE.
4. IF AN OFFSITE SPOIL OR BORROW SITE IS UTILIZED, THE DISTURBED AREA MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE LAND
DISTURBANCE PLAN AND PERMIT UNLESS ALREADY PERMITTED.
5. IF THE DISTURBED AREA EXCEEDS FIVE ACRES, AN IMPROVEMENT SECURITY WILL BE REQUIRED PRIOR RO
LAND -DISTURBING PERMIT ISSUANCE
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE:
THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPON5IBLE FOR FOLLOWING THIS CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
APPROVED PLANS, THE SPECAL PRCVfSIONS PROVIDED, OR AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER,
1. ODTAIN ALL APPLICABLE PERMITS, SEND PROPER NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE A PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING WrM
DURHAM COUNTY STORMWATER & EROSION CONTROL DIVISION AT (919) 560-7992 , AND OBTAIN NOTICE TO
PROCEED,
2. CONSTRUCT RESIDENTIAL TEMPORARY GRAVEL ENTRANCES/EXT'S.
3. MARK CONSTRUCTION LIMITS AND ALL PROTECTED AREAS, INSTALL ORANGE TREE PROTECTION FENCING AROUND
RIPARIAN BUFFER ZONES.
4. PRIOR TO ANY LAND DISTURBANCE ACTIVITIES INSTALL ALL PERIMETER EROSION CONTROL MEASURES SUCH AS
TEMPORARY SILT FENCE AND SILT FENCE OUTLETS,
5, INSTALL CURB INLET PROTECTION AT ALL CURD INLETS LOCATED DOWN GRADIENT FROM THE SITE, INSTALL PIPE
NLET PROTECTION AND YARD/DROP INLET PROTECTION AS APPLICABLE,
6, CLEAR, GRUE, AND GRADE THE LOTS. STOCKPILE TOPSOIL AT A LOCATION SHOWN IN PLANS OR AS APPROVED
BY THE ENGINEER. HAVE STOCKPILE SURROUNDED WITH SILT FENCE AND SEEDED WITHIN 21 DAYS.
7. OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING STREETS FREE OF SEDIMENT AND DEBRIS DURING THE CONSTRUCTION
PROCESS.
8. PROVIDE GROUND COVER ON ALL EXPOSED SLOPES IN ACCORDANCE TO THE GROUND STABILIZATION TABLE.
9, AFTER THE SITE HAS STABILIZED REMOVE ALL SILT FENCES. RE -SEED AND MULCH AS NECESSARY.
10. CALL DURHAM COUNTY STORMWATER & EROSION CONTROL DIVISION AT (919) 560-7992 FOR FINAL INSPECTION
TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION.
