The Kinston Site sampled Stormwater Outfall 006 on November 30, 2022. Analytical Environmental
Services, Inc. analyzed the sample for total phosphorus and provided results on December 13, 2022.
Results were above the current benchmark value of 2 mg/L. This is the fourth exceedance of this
benchmark value at Outfall 006. Corrective measures were implemented for the previous exceedances
in accordance with Tier One and Tier Two requirements. The Site will collect and analyze additional
samples to determine potential source contributions. Based on all compiled data, an evaluation of
potential control measures will be required before an action plan can be developed.
